As he’s speaking, I’m doing maths in my head, four weeks to the Leeds Abbey Dash!
Rewind a month, I’m sitting in a rather fetching Hospital gown with my bum exposed to the world and I’m chatting to Kevin Clark about the operation I’m about to have, he tells me that I’d be able to jog in about two weeks post operation and back into full sessions by December.

It’s been a few weeks since I last wrote my Blog, I’ve been a busy Man. I’ve been married a month now, we had a fantastic day. After three weeks of rain, it eventually stopped on our Wedding day and we had a whole day of sunshine. I was determined that the weather wasn’t going to spoil our day as it looked certain that it was going to be a wet one. All week it was forecast for rain, but then by Thursday evening the odd forecast showed promise and eventually on Friday we saw the first signs of good weather. Firstly, I’m not going to mention my mini stroke anymore, I feel by doing that I’m hanging on to it and it’s there ready as an excuse, I have no lasting physical effects so there is no reason why I should be running any differently. However I have had quite a few niggles recently, but they are worse in the morning and actually feel ok when I’m running fast, so get over it and crack on I think. Having said that, the wedding is coming up fast, we have a lot to do and then it’ll be hard to train on Honeymoon, so I’m thinking about ticking over until then, then back into full training when I get back. |
